Designed by Steamboat Architectural Associates, this home has a ‘glass box sitting on top of the world' feel. Each room was built with something to look at, whether views or an art wall, you are always walking towards something. A metal spiral staircase connects the vista from upper to lower floors in a continuous movement that allows you to appreciate your surroundings.

In Meets Out

By putting the Great Room fireplace outside, this exchange of the outdoors coming in and interior materials being placed outside, a harmony is established between place and land. A warm color palate for the furnishings blends seamlessly with the nature’s brushstrokes, creating comfort.

To complement the style, Leslie Borstatd Haradin with Silver Creek Design chose a contemporary approach filled with warmth. While most people associate modern with a cold feel, by using new materials in familiar ways and old materials in new ways, the open floor plan becomes intimate.

Old Meets New

Each of the three master suites are uniquely designed with their own character. Intricate tile work, Jacuzzi tubs and steam showers all allow for relaxation and contemplation. The gourmet kitchen uses renewable liptus wood, concrete and soapstone for a casual entertaining area.


A radiant heating system consumes less energy than forced air, while locally produced and reclaimed materials were used with an eye towards conservation. The beauty of the home comes both in the details of furnishing and the sparseness of design that allows the incredible surroundings of Steamboat Springs to speak for itself.
